Tuna Bagel
The bagel was invented sometime in the seventeenth century. A roll with a hole that was originally boiled first and then baked in the oven. The reason for the hole is not entirely clear, but photos from the early twentieth century show street vendors selling the rolls on a long stick. So, the hole definitely came in handy. Variation tip!
For an extra kick, mix some sriracha into the tuna salad!
Cut the bagels in half horizontally.
Make the tuna salad by mixing the drained tuna with the mayonnaise and olive oil. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Spread the tuna salad on the bagel and top with the other half of the bagel.
Serve the bagel with some slices of red onion and cucumber on the side.
